Common Faunal Diversity on Forest Floor and Their Importance in Forest Ecosystem: Bonai Forest Division, Odisha, India

Bonai Forest Division (BFD) is enjoying the tropical moist deciduous, dry and semi-evergreen forest. Among biotic abiotic factors, faunal species that are found on forest floor very important. They important members of food chain, feed upon dead decaying matter, after death, add organic matter to soil as a source nutrients for floral communities but there lack in documentation. For better understanding role functions these species, need study Keeping importance floor, we made an attempt document common BFD, Odisha during June 2021- August 2022. From study, authors observed 54 floor. It was noticed BFD dominated by class Insecta, Reptilia, Arachnida which helps maintain well-balanced chain allows diversity flourish.
